Christmas Blessings
Wishing you Christmas Blessings!
From my house to yours, may you have a wonderful Christmas and New Year.
Here’s to saying goodbye to 2020, a time of reflection and community, and entering 2021 with renewed hope, love, and health.
One swaddled babe
raised to die
offers hope to multitudes
extends love to all
filled with grace and mercy
one life given
so all can prosper
I hope your Christmas is filled with family and cheer.
I am not quite sure what our Christmas will look like, although we are excited for a new grandson this month. I don’t mind celebrating in isolation as long as my family remains safe as their health is my priority because they are my world.
I’d love to hear how you intend on celebrating this year.
Be well, my friends. Be well.
Merry Christmas, Carmen. It HAS been a challenging year, one to make us stronger for sure. Isolation has been hard on many since we humans are social creatures. We’ve spent the year devising our own entertainments, and getting out in the fresh air and sunshine daily. We are using this time to reflect and renew.
Today is Christmas Eve. We visited an elderly neighbor of ours, recovering from cancer. We brought another neighbor recently widowed some homemade meals since he’s managed to learn the microwave, but not the stove. We’ll attend Mass this evening. On Christmas Day, we’re invited to join some friends of ours for Christmas dinner with festive fun and lively conversation.
Mostly, we are grateful that we have our health, each other, and an appreciation for life.
Wishing you and your family the warmth and love of the season and a connection to nature and the spirit world for those who have left us.
Michelle, you are such a beautiful example of God’s love. Enjoy Mass. Many blessings to you and your family. Merry Christmas!
Carmen, thank you so much for your beautiful Christmas blessing. How exciting to welcome a new grandchild. I have two of my own so I have a good idea of what you are feeling.
While I am in California, those grandsons are in North Carolina. The rest of my family is scattered up and down the California coast. It is our tradition to come together at Christmas time, but not this year. We are all remaining in our own homes but we have years of memories of wonderful Christmases gone by to comfort us.
As I say goodbye to 2020 I will be leaving behind the difficult times and taking with me the wonderful blessings that occurred this year.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family,
Laura
Thank you, Laura! The grandbaby was born last night and we just had a video chat with our son and saw the baby. He’s beautiful! Merry Christmas to you and yours Carmen. Your books and posts have blessed me <3
