For the Love of Christmas

Christmas means different things to various people.

For some itā€™s about Santa, gifts, and a hearty meal with loved ones.

Others celebrate the birth of the Messiah, King of Kings, Son of Godā€“ā€“Jesus.

I love to work with acrostics. They allow my mind to work in creative ways and often encourage me to use a dictionary!

This year, I decided to use the game to define Christmas for me…

For the Love of Christmas

C Ā ā€“ Christā€™s birth, my redeemer

H ā€“ Hope for those who are less fortunate

R ā€“ Reading the book of Luke every day in December

I ā€“ Imparting the love of God to others

S ā€“ Singing songs of joy, peace, and about my savior

T ā€“ Time relaxing and reflecting on the past, present, and future

M ā€“ Making memories with familyā€“ā€“especially my grandchildren

A ā€“ Advocating peace, joy, and love to friends and community

S ā€“ Supporting those who grieve this time of year

This Christmas season, I wish you happiness, health, joy, peace, prosperity, and most of all hope.

H ā€“ Hope though faith in Christ

O ā€“ Overabundant joy and love, even in hard times

P ā€“ Peace of mind, knowing you are cherished and protected

E ā€“ Elohim, to know the ā€œmighty oneā€ who goes before you, treasures you, and offers abundant forgiveness, grace, and mercy

From our home to yours,

Merry Christmas!
